Tigers Ranked Fourth in RPI, Top 5 in All Four Polls

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson men’s soccer team is ranked fourth in the latest Ratings Percentage Index (RPI), released Tuesday by the NCAA. Five Atlantic Coast Conference teams are listed in the top 10 in the RPI. No other conference has more than one team in the top 10. Currently Wake Forest, North Carolina and Notre Dame hold the top three spots, while the Tigers are fourth and Syracuse is ninth.

In addition to the RPI, Clemson is ranked in the top five in all four major polls. The Tigers maintained their No. 5 ranking in the NSCAA, Soccer America and TopDrawerSoccer.com polls. Clemson also held on to the No. 3 spot in the latest HeroSports.com rankings.

Clemson returns to Historic Riggs Field on Friday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. to take on Louisville in a rematch of the 2014 ACC Championship game. The Tigers are currently riding a three-match winning streak and a seven-match unbeaten streak.
