Tigers Open Season 2-0 at B.O.B.

CLEMSON, S.C. – Senior Kristin Faust helped the Tigers power to a 2-0 mark on the first day of the Big Orange Bash on Friday with 36 kills.

The Tigers took USC Upstate down in four (23-25, 25-19, 25-12, 25-17) and Austin Peay in three (25-10, 25-13, 25-16) in the first two matches of the season. Freshman Kate Federico opened her first match as a Tiger with 37 assists, 10 digs, and five kills, posting the first double-double of her career. Faust led the Tigers with a career-best 22 kills against the Spartans.

Dumancic led defense up front with 11 blocks in the two matches. The Tigers dominated at the net with 24 blocks in seven total sets.

The Big Orange Bash will continue on Saturday with the first match between Troy and USC Upstate at 11 a.m. The Tigers will take on UNC Asheville at 1 p.m. followed by Austin Peay vs. USC Upstate at 3 p.m. The Tigers will take the court against Troy for the final match of the tournament at 7 p.m.
