Tigers in the Pros: May 21-27

The Tigers’ presence was felt around the nation this week as six former #ClemsonUnited players saw professional action over the weekend.

Major League Soccer (MLS)

Tommy McNamara (’13) subbed on in the 62nd minute of Houston’s 1-0 loss to Minnesota on May 25, posting a shot in the contest.

Diego Campos (Chicago Fire), Andrew Tarbell (San Jose Earthquakes) and Joe Bendik (Columbus Crew) all served as reserve options over the weekend.

United Soccer League (USL)

Patrick Bunk-Andersen (’18) started on the backline for Toronto FC II, playing all 90 minutes in the club’s 1-0 win over FC Tucson on May 24.

Paul Clowes (’15) subbed on in the 63rd minute of Greenville’s 1-0 loss to Chattanooga Red Wolves SC on May 25.

Amadou Dia (’14) played all 90 minutes on the backline for Phoenix Rising FC as the visitors took down Real Monarchs SLC 4-2 on May 25.

Jack Metcalf (’13) stared in Atlanta United 2’s 1-1 draw with Charleston Battery, playing all 90 minutes for Atlanta on May 25.

Cody Mizell (’12) totaled two saves on three shots faced in New Mexico United’s 3-1 defeat of Austin Bold FC on May 25. New Mexico United currently sits at the top of the Western Conference standings.
