  • After three-straight road contests, the Clemson women’s tennis team is back at home for two matches this weekend, as it hosts No. 20 Virginia on Friday, March 1 at 2:30 p.m. and No. 40 Boston College on Sunday, March 3 at 11 a.m.
  • The Tigers are coming off of a tough 4-3 road loss at Louisville, where they won the doubles point and saw senior Marie-Alexandre Leduc and sophomore Laura Marti earn singles wins, at No. 1 and No. 6, respectively.
  • Leduc and fellow-senior Fernanda Navarro are ranked No. 1 in the nation in doubles, according to the ITA poll released on Feb. 20. Leduc and Navarro are only the third team in Clemson women’s tennis history to ascend to No. 1 in the national doubles rankings.

  • Navarro is currently ranked 82nd nationally in the ITA singles poll, after earning her career-best singles win earlier this season on Jan. 31, an upset over 25th-ranked Paige Cline of South Carolina in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1, at No. 2 singles.
