CLEMSON, S.C – The Clemson Volleyball team used a well balanced offensive performance to secure a 3-1, (25-16, 24-26, 25-19, 26-24) victory over East Tennessee State on Saturday afternoon in the final match of the Big Orange Bash. Clemson improved to 7-0 in Jervey Gym for the season and won the Big Orange Bash, dropping one one set.
The Tigers hit .394, .275, and .326 in their set victories, respectively, to help pull away from the Buccaneers who kept the pressure on with 10 lead changes and 24 ties for the match. Kaylee Martin registered 13 kills and 3 total blocks while Cate Long recorded her first double-double of the season with 11 kills and 14 digs to guide the Tigers to victory. Camryn Hannah added 10 digs and was one kill shy of her second consecutive double-double with nine kills on 29 attempts.
Clemson totaled seven service aces, including three from Long, while on the other end only allowed three Buccaneer aces on 44 attempts. Long tallied seven aces over the last two matches.
