PINEVILLE, N.C. — In its lone exhibition match before entering the spring season, Clemson fell to North Carolina, 1-0, at CSA OrthoCarolina Sportsplex on Saturday afternoon.
“I saw that we played well and it was a really good exercise [for our team],” said head coach Mike Noonan after the match. “We had to deal with some adversity and I thought the character of the team was excellent although the result was not.”
Clemson will now look ahead to its spring season opener against Syracuse under the lights of Historic Riggs Field on March 7 at 5 p.m. The Tigers enter the spring with a record of 8-2-1 earned during their fall campaign.
