CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson volleyball team fell to Louisville (29-31, 22-25, 22-25) on Friday night at Jervey Gym. The loss puts the Tigers at 17-11 on the season and 5-9 in the conference, while the Cardinals improve to 15-11 and 7-7 in the ACC.
Senior Kristin Faust led all players on the court with 17 kills. Her 13 digs gave her another double-double on her career. Sophomore Leah Perri was also in double-digits in kills with 11. Freshman Kate Federico also posted a double-double with 34 assists and 16 digs. Senior Niki Collier led the backcourt with 15 digs.
Both teams came out in the first set playing scrappy defense, and each team posted 29 digs in the set. Despite Faust’s offensive effort, Clemson’s 12 unforced errors gave the Cardinals the 31-29 victory.
