CARY, N.C. – The eighth-seeded Clemson Tigers (21-7, 8-5) dropped their ACC quarterfinal match to top seeded Wake Forest (34-0, 13-0) 0-4 on Friday afternoon in Cary.
In doubles, the No. 58 ranked duo of Suresh Dhakshineswar and Luca Pow defeated No. 28 Noa Vukadin and Max Smith 6-3. Viktor Markov and Matt Pitts secured a 6-3 victory in doubles against Luciano Tacchi and Franco Capalbo.
On court two, No. 77 Stefan Dostanic and Charlie Robertson won the doubles point for the Demon Deacons in a 6-3 win over No. 31 Max Damm and Romain Gales.
In singles, Robertson defeated Marko Mesarovic 7-6 (7-4), 6-0, on court four. No. 13 Dostanic took down No. 50 Vukadin 7-5, 6-3.
To secure the match for Wake Forest, No. 121 Ioannis Xilas won 6-1, 7-5 over Gales.
