Tigers Complete Texas, Raleigh Relays

AUSTIN, TEXAS/RALEIGH, N.C. – The Clemson track and field program wrapped up both Texas Relays and Raleigh Relays as the team split for the second weekend of the outdoor season. The Tigers found success in both cities as Clemson set two program records at each meet.

Multiple Tigers moved or added their names to Clemson’s top ten list as many athletes recorded new personal bests. Clemson’s sprint and distance medley teams shined in Texas as they brought home first place finishes and top times.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS

  • Matt Auble threw a personal best mark of 60.42m in the hammer throw at Texas Relays to move to No. 6 on the all-time list
  • Garrett Brown added his name to the top ten list in the 5000 meters as he ran 14:00.62 at Raleigh Relays
  • At Texas Relays, Clemson finished first in both the men’s and women’s sprint medley relays
  • Lowa Branth ran the third fastest time in program history in the 3000 meter steeple as she ran a personal best time of 10:19.94 in Raleigh
  • The Clemson women secured first place in the distance medley relay at Texas with a time of
  • Silvia Jelelgo set the new school record in the 5000 meters with a time of 16:00.93
    • Emily Lamontagne added her name to the top ten list in the event with a time of 16:32.88 which puts her at No. 8 all-time
  • Ryan John tabbed first place in men’s triple jump at Texas Relays with a personal best mark of 15.47m
  • The Clemson women set a new school record in the 4×100 relay with a time of 43.14 which was the second fastest time of the meet in Texas
  • Aleksandra Stoilova ran the fastest time in program history in the 100 meters with a wind-aided time of 11.11 (+3.9) for the all-conditions best school record
    • Aniyah Kitt ran the third fastest all-condition time at 11.17 (+3.9)
