CLEMSON, S.C. – Lukas Magnason headed in the match-winning goal in the final eight seconds of the match to push the Tigers to a 1-0 win over Elon Saturday night.
The defense on both sides was dominant all night long with Clemson taking 21 total shots in the match to Elon’s eight. Joseph Andema saved a cruical shot in the 83′ to keep the score even at zero. Andema kept the score 0-0 with six saves on the night.
In the 89′ the Tiger fans were hungry for a goal after a long fight and Ransford Gyan was the chance. Gyan took a corner kick and Lukas Magnason made it count, heading the ball to give the Tigers a match-winning goal.
Gyan ranks first in the ACC with seven assists on the year and fifth in the nation.
