Tigers Battle but Drop Match to South Carolina

COLUMBIA, S.C. —  The Tigers (4-2, 0-0 ACC) battled to the end but came up short, losing to South Carolina, (7-0, 0-0 SEC) 7-0.

South Carolina started hot out of the gate, taking the win on Court 1 in doubles, but the Tigers didn’t go away quietly. Ultimately, the Gamecocks took Court 2 by a score of 6-3 to secure the doubles point.

Clemson continued to fight in singles, seeing three Tigers go to three set matches, but South Carolina eventually came up victorious on the six singles courts to take the match.

Up Next:

The Tigers will be back home to host North Florida at the Duckworth Family Tennis Facility on Sunday, Feb. 13. First serve for that match is slated for 12:00 p.m.
