Clemson, S.C. – The Clemson women’s tennis team is excited to announce the signing of Lana Sipek and Cristina Mayorova.
Native to Croatia, Sipek is set to join the Tigers in the spring and holds a current ITF Juniors ranking of 740.
Head Coach Nancy Harris on the signing of Lana Sipek:
“Our women’s tennis program is so excited to welcome Lana Sipek to the 2020 spring roster and we look forward to having her as part of this great class of Tigers. This is a very special group of women and I believe Lana is a great fit for this team. She is going to help this exceptional team reach their goals. Lana’s values and desire to exceed at the highest level will make her a memorable Clemson Tiger. We look forward to the new year 2020 season and having Lana as a member of our team.”
Hailing from Spain, Mayorova, who was ranked as high as 359 by the ITF, will be welcomed by the Tigers in the fall of 2020.

“Cristina Mayorova is an exciting player with big weapons who will join the team in the fall of 2020. She brings great experience as a top junior player from the country of Spain. Cristina is excited to become a Tiger and is working hard to be prepared for August 2020 when she will join two other top freshmen Jennifer Thompson of North Carolina and Sophia Hatton of New York. We are delighted Christina has chosen Clemson and look forward to seeing her compete for the next great class of Tigers.”
