Tigers Add Kiara Grant as Midterm Signee

CLEMSON, S.C. — Norfolk State Graduate Kiara Grant will be joining Clemson’s track and field program in spring of 2022, the team announced on Thursday. Grant is a highly accomplished athlete and will make an immediate impact on the Tigers’ short sprints group while earning her master’s degree at Clemson.

Grant was a 2019 NCAA All-American in both the 60m (3rd) and 100m (6th) sprints. She is also a two-time MEAC Champion in the 60m (2019, 2020).

The native of Portmore, St. Catherine, Jamaica boasts personal bests of 7.11 in the 60m and 11.04 in the 100m. She also holds a 23.17 PR in the 200m.

“Kiara is a welcome addition to the Tiger family and adds additional impact to our Short Sprints group,” remarked an ecstatic Coach Lennox Graham. “She will improve our team strength in the ACC conference Championships as well as the NCAA Regional and National Championships meet while pursuing her graduate studies.”
