CLEMSON, SC – Clemson women’s tennis player Carmina Giraldo is ranked 15th nationally according to the WingspanBank.com Collegiate Tennis Rankings announced by the ITA this week. Giraldo, a sophomore from Pereria, Colombia, is 17-4 at number one singles this season. She defeated eighth-ranked Esther Knox of Georgia 6-4, 6-3 earlier this season. As a team Clemson is ranked 43rd in this week’s poll.
The Tigers (6-1) will play at South Carolina Friday at 2 p.m., then return home to face Brenau on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center on Clemson’s campus.
