2025-26 Women's Soccer & Softball - Kinsley & Ella Bouknight

As the Clemson women’s soccer and softball programs transitioned into a new academic and athletic season, two new additions to the programs’ locker rooms, though small, provided a new spark.

On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, both programs gathered in the McWhorter Stadium team lounge, to watch as the two newest members, twin sisters Kinsley and Ella Bouknight, signed to join the programs.

Though only 7-year-old, the duo brings confidence and resiliency to the Tigers that are larger than life. After starting to have seizures at 2-years-old, Kinsley was later diagnosed with Chiari Malformation, a structural defect where the brain tissue extends into the spinal canal, most often involving the cerebellum. This has alsp led to a brain tumor. Sticking by Kinsley’s side through thick and thin is her twin, Ella, who is supporting her in every stride.

The two programs have adopted Kinsley through the Adopt a Child Program and Ella through the Safe on the Sidelines for Siblings Program in connection with the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation (for more information on the programs, click here).

“We are excited to ‘adopt’ Kinsley and Ella into our Clemson softball family,” said softball head coach John Rittman. “It is a special experience for our program, and we know their presence will bring energy, perspective and smiles to our team. The strength Kinsley and Ella show in their everyday lives is a positive addition that we are excited to have around our players and staff.”

“Welcoming Kinsley and Ella into our Clemson soccer family is a really special moment for everyone,” said women’s soccer head coach Eddie Radwanski. “It’s a reminder of what true strength and spirit look like. These two young girls have already shown more courage and resilience than most of us ever will and their presence brings a deeper purpose to our program. We’re honored to have them with us and to celebrate every moment together as teammates.”
