CLEMSON, S.C. – For the second time this season, multiple Tigers have earned ACC weekly honors as Gladys Chepngetich, Shantae Foreman and Aniyah Kitt were all named Performers of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
ACC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week – Gladys Chepngetich
In addition to being named the USTFCCCA Division I Women’s Athlete of the Week, Chepngetich also picked up the weekly honor for ACC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week following her performance this past weekend. At the Clemson Invitational, Chepngetich set both the program and facility record in the women’s 1000 meters with a time of 2:39.99. The record was previously held by Laurie Barton who set the previous record in 2021.
ACC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week – Shantae Foreman
At the Clemson Invitational, Foreman shined in the women’s triple jump as she recorded a personal best mark of 13.84m to win the event and move to No. 2 on the all-time list. Foreman currently leads both the NCAA and the ACC in the women’s triple jump with the 13.84m mark.
ACC Women’s Freshman of the Week – Aniyah Kitt
For the second time this season, Kitt has been named the ACC Women’s Freshman of the Week following her impressive performance at the Clemson Invitational. Kitt ran a personal best time of 23.16 in the women’s 200 meters as the newcomer moved to No. 5 on the all-time performance list. Kitt’s performance places her No. 2 in the NCAA and leads the ACC in that event.
