CLEMSON, SC – Former Clemson greats will take part in the third annual Clemson Sons Bowl this Saturday at 1:30 PM at Memorial Stadium. The flag football game will feature some of the greats in Clemson football history.
The Orange Team will be coached by former All-American C.J. Spiller, now a running back with the Buffalo Bills. He will be assisted by 12-year NFL veteran Brentson Buckner. Among the players on the Orange Team will be former Super Bowl Champion Dexter McCleon, former NFL linebacker Patrick Sapp, and former NFL lineman Steve Kenney. Former All-ACC guard Will Merritt and 1988 Citrus Bowl Defensive MVP Dorian Mariable also will play for the Orange Team.
The White Team will be coached by current Arizona Cardinals defensive lineman Nick Eason and former All-ACC defensive back Dexter Davis. The White team will be led by former NFL player and first-team All-ACC quarterback Woody Dantzler, 1981 National Championship quarterback Homer Jordan, and former NFL player Wardell Rouse. Former All-ACC linemen Vance Hammond and LaMarick Simpson will also be on the White team.
