CLEMSON, S.C. — Clemson University men’s golfers Andrew Swanson (Bluffton, S.C./May River) and Kian Rose (Guateng, South Africa/St. John’s College) were named to the NCAA Division I PING East All-Region team, announced by the GCAA (Golf Coaches Association of America).
This marks the 13th time in program history that at least two Tigers have been selected to the All-Region team. It marks the first career All-Region accolades for Swanson and Rose.
Swanson led the team in stroke average (71.39) and finished with two top-10 finishes, including medalist honors at the Ka’anapali Classic in Hawaii. Swanson shot an 18-under-par 195 over three rounds to claim the individual victory.
His third-round score of 63 was a season-low for the sophomore. He finished the season with nine rounds in the 60’s.
Swanson concluded the season with a 14th-place finish at the ACC Championship and a 23rd-place finish at the NCAA Salem Regional. Over the course of the season, he added six top-15 finishes.
Rose finished third on the team in stroke average (72.03) and finished with four top-15 finishes, including two in the top 10.
He finished eighth at the Linger Longer Invitational after carding a one-under-par 215 and also finished eighth at the NCAA Salem Regional after an 11-under-par 205.
