GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Atlantic Coast Conference announced today that Roje Stona (Men’s Field) and Laurie Barton (Women’s Track) have earned ACC Performer of the Week honors after their respective performances this past weekend. Today’s announcement marks the first weekly conference honor for Stona, while Barton receives her second weekly honor during the 2021 season.

Stona collects the ACC’s weekly honor after winning his third discus competition in as many meets this season while contesting the event at ACU’s Oliver Jackson Twilight Invitational on April 21. Down in Abilene, Stona threw 58.47 meters (191 feet, 10 inches) on his sixth and final attempt to win the competition by 1.87m.
