STANFORD, CA–Stanford’s KC Corkery defeated Clemson’s Clement Reix 7-5, 6-2 in a Final Eight Match at the NCAA Men’s Singles Tournament at Stanford, CA Saturday evening.

Reix finishes the season with a 33-8 record overall in singles for a .804 pct. The .804 winning pct. is the eighth best ever by a Clemson player in a single season. The 33 wins are also the most since former Tiger Bruce Li won 38 matches in the 1995 season.

The last Clemson player to reach the NCAA Final Eight was Richard Matuszewski in 1986. Clemson has had three players to reach at least the Final Eight in the NCAA Tournament prior to the run made by Reix.
