Offensive Player Development/Assistant Wide Receivers Coach

Will Swinney is in his third season on Clemson’s staff and his first as an assistant wide receivers coach after spending his first two seasons assisting with the team’s tight ends.

Swinney spent five years as a wide receiver and holder on Clemson’s roster from 2017-21, and his 69 career game appearances tied the school record, which also represented the modern FBS record at the time. He caught 35 passes for 195 yards and a touchdown in 586 offensive snaps over his 69 career games with three starts, and he also rushed for a six-yard rushing touchdown among his four career carries for 11 yards. He played on four ACC title teams, including Clemson’s 15-0 national championship squad in 2018.

A five-time ACC Honor Roll selection and two-time All-ACC Academic Team honoree, Swinney earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Clemson in 2021 and added his MBA in 2022. He is married to his wife, Hannah.
