Sabrina Urban

Position: Assistant Director of Mental Performance

SABRINA URBAN, CMPC

Sabrina Urban, MS, CMPC, is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant and Assistant Director of Mental Performance at Clemson University. She earned her Master of Science in Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology from Barry University and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sport Psychology at Florida International University. Her background includes a wide range of performance settings, including work with collegiate and professional athletes, corporate professionals, military personnel, and high-level entrepreneurs. Sabrina currently serves as a Mental Performance Consultant for Angel City FC, supporting elite athletes in the NWSL.

Before joining Clemson, Sabrina coached soldiers as a Master Resilience Trainer at Fort Hood, served as a Mental Performance Coach for the New York Mets, and delivered performance coaching to professionals across industries through SERHANT. Ventures. She has also served as an adjunct professor and founded student-focused mental skills initiatives across educational settings. Sabrina has published research on Emotional Intelligence in athletes and Self-Talk’s impact on performance.

At Clemson, Sabrina supports student-athletes through individual and team-based mental performance training. She focuses on evidence-informed, strengths-based approaches that help athletes sharpen their mindset, increase resilience, and align their performance with personal values.

Sabrina is especially passionate about identity development, motivation, leadership, and helping athletes build sustainable habits for long-term growth. Her work is grounded in connection, empowerment, and curiosity.

Outside of work, Sabrina enjoys traveling, spending time with her husband, Michael, and their dog, Chewy.
