Position: Director of Student-Athlete Wellness
Dr. Logan Hartnell is a licensed clinical and sport psychologist. He earned his doctorate in clinical psychology at Adler University in Chicago, IL, and gained specialized training in sport performance psychology as a doctoral intern at Appalachian State University and a post-doctoral fellow at Ohio State University. Prior to joining Clemson as the Director of Student-Athlete Wellness, Dr. Logan was the first embedded sport psychologist at UNC Charlotte.
Dr. Logan provides mental health and performance support with a focus on building community, identifying both challenging and helpful patterns, and helping others feel more authentic in their world. He enjoys using a good dad joke or pun to break the ice and loves talking about anything that sparks passion.
Dr. Logan has experience and training in working with a wide range of mental health concerns and performance needs. He especially enjoys confidence building, identity development, navigating relationships, and working through overwhelming thoughts.
When he is not working with the wonderful athletes at Clemson, Logan enjoys playing with his dog, Kya, reading, and trying his hand at amateur carpentry. Although baseball was his sport in college, he stays active by going to the gym, golfing, and playing sand volleyball.
