Mathis joined the Tigers as a Graduate Assistant in the fall of 2026 after graduating from Duke in the spring 2026 with a degree in sociology. She spent her final two seasons with the Blue Devils as an infielder after starting her collegiate career at James Madison. The 2026 Third Team All-ACC selection maintained a .336 career average at the plate during her time at Duke and tallied 101 hits, including 18 doubles and 17 home runs. She strung together 72 RBIs with 45 runs scored. She garnered multiple NFCA All-Region honors during her career and was a TUCCI/NFCA Freshman of the Year Top 25 Finalist in 2023. Off the field, Mathis was a three-time NFCA Scholar Athlete, two-time CSC Academic All-District selection and two-time All-ACC Academic honoree. While at Clemson, she will pursue a degree in Athletic Leadership.
