Offensive Player Development/Assistant Wide Receivers Coach

Jacoby Ford joined Clemson’s coaching staff in 2026 for his first season as an Offensive Player Development/Assistant Wide Receivers Coach.

Prior to his return to his alma mater, Ford spent three seasons coaching wide receivers at West Boca Raton (Fla.) High School from 2023-25. He helped the Bulls to back-to-back 6A state titles in his final two seasons with the program.

Ford played for the Tigers from 2006-09, and the dual sport football and track star remains one of the most dynamic athletes in program history. He twice earned football All-ACC honors, finishing with 143 receptions for 1,986 yards and 18 touchdowns. In track, he was named ACC Indoor Freshman of the Year in 2007 and was awarded NCAA All-American, All-East Region and All-ACC honors during a career that include a national championship in the 60-meter dash. He was inducted into the Clemson Athletic Hall of Fame in 2022.

Ford was selected by the Oakland Raiders in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft and earned PFWA All-Rookie Team honors that season. He played six NFL seasons with the Raiders, New York Jets and Tennessee Titans and spent time with the CFL’s Edmonton Eskimos, Montreal Alouettes and Saskatchewan Roughriders from 2016-18.

Following his playing career, Ford transitioned into coaching and player development, working with skill position athletes at various levels of the game. He assisted Tony Villani at XPE Sports in the speed development and performance training of elite athletes preparing for the NFL Combine, with a particular emphasis on 40-yard dash preparation. He also served as wide receivers coach at Cardinal Newman (Fla.) High School, his alma mater.

Ford, a native of West Palm Beach, Fla., graduated from Clemson in 2009 with a degree in sociology. He was named to the Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame in 2024. He is married to his wife, Nicole, with whom he has two children, Luna and Zara.
