Daniel Boyd is in his 11th season at Clemson and his second as an associate director of player personnel in 2026.
Boyd made the transition to player personnel from a coaching support staff role in 2025 after having served as an assistant defensive tackles coach in 2024. Prior to 2024, Boyd served three seasons in a defensive player development role after having previously contributed as a defensive student coach from 2016-18 and as a video graduate assistant from 2019-20.
From 2009-15, Boyd served as a sniper in the U.S. Army with two combat tours to Afghanistan. A native of Lamar, S.C., he is married to his wife, Heather, and the couple has two sons, Andrew and William.
