2008 Honors: NCAA Provisional Qualifier, 60m; ACC Champion, 4x100m; NCAA East Region Qualifier, 200m & 4x100m. Clemson Highlights2007-08Outdoor: Ran opening leg for the Tigers’ championship 4x100m relay team at the ACC meet in April…led team to an outstanding, regional-qualifying time of 39.40 seconds…also ran first leg with the 4×1 team that posted a time of 39.23 at the Orange & Purple Classic…qualified for regionals in the 200m with a prelim time of 21.28 at the ACC Championships…season best in the event came at regionals, where he was 12th overall at 21.18…ran a 10.66 in the 100m prelims at ACCs before being slowed by injury in the final…season-best in the 100m dash was 10.62 at the Orange & Purple meet…finished 12th in the 200m dash at the East Region meet. Indoor: Got off to an oustanding start with the program, before falling into injury problems toward the end of the indoor year…posted NCAA provisional qualifying time of 6.71 in his first meet, the Clemson Opener…also had a time of 6.74 at the Clemson Invitational…competed at ACCs but was slowed due to injury…posted team’s best mark in the 200m dash as well at 21.58, which he ran at the Virginia Tech Invitational. West Charlotte High School Highlights 2007 National Scholastic Indoor winner in the 200m dash…also earned All-America honors in the 60m dash at that prestigious competition…2007 Nike Outdoor national champion in the 100m dash (10.41)…finished fifth in the 200m at the Nike Outdoor meet…claimed AAAA state titles in North Carolina in the 55m and 300m indoors, as well as 100m, 4x100m, and 4x400m events outdoors…runner-up in the 200m at the 2007 state outdoor AAAA meet…named North Carolina’s Runner-of-the-Year by the Charlotte Observer…came to Clemson with personal bests of 10.33 (100m) and 21.09 (200m).
