Clemson Highlights Ranks first in Clemson history in the 100m dash, third in the 60m dash, and fifth in the 55m dash.2006-07Outdoor: Qualified for NCAA Championships in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay…finished third in the 100m dash and was named All-American for the second straight year in the event…had a time of 10.09 in the finals…also earned All-America honors as first leg for the 4x100m relay team that placed seventh in the final at NCAAs…competed at the USA Track & Field Championships in June in the 100m dash…earned automatic spot at nationals in the 400m relay after leading group to a runner-up finish at regionals…helped that squad to a season-best time of 39.15…earned at-large bid in the 100m after placing 10th at regionals in the event…posted personal best in the 200m (20.67) at regionals, finishing seventh…that effort helped earn him an at-large spot in that event at nationals…successfully defended his ACC crown in the 100m dash by running a 10.22 in the finals…set a conference meet record with a time of 10.21 in the prelims…first consecutive 100m dash winner at ACCs for Clemson since Greg Moses accomplished the feat in 1985-86…earned first-ever All-ACC honor in the 200m dash after placing third with a time of 21.04…has qualified for regionals in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay…led the 400m relay team to second-place finish with time of 39.48 at the ACC Championships…top time of the season was a 10.05 on a windy day at the Clemson Invitational…ran a 10.22 and finished first in the 100m at the Clemson Relays…posted five regional-qualifying marks as member of the 4x100m relay team…did not defend his Penn Relays title in the 100m after what he believed to be a false start from a competitor in the prelims…he was overruled by the officials and did not make the finals for the first time in his career…helped 400m relay team to runner-up spot in the collegiate final at the Penn Relays…finished 10th at the USA Outdoor Championships in the 100m dash. Indoor: Surprised some (but not his coaches) with his national title performance at the NCAA Championships in the 60m dash…recorded personal best time of 6.56 and beat favorites Demi Omole of Wisconsin and teammate Jacoby Ford…13th national champion in Clemson history…first national champion for Clemson since Shawn Crawford won the outdoor 200m title in 2000…secured his spot in the 60m field with a record-breaking performance at Virginia Tech on March 3…ran a 6.17 in the 55m dash in the finals of the Last Chance Meet, a facility record…his time equated to what was then a personal best 6.65 in the 60m…finished fourth in the ACC 60m final by thousandths of a second…he ran a time of 6.68 in that final…also competed in the 200m at ACCs…top 200m time of the year was 21.95 at the Clemson Invitational…recorded a provisional qualifying time of 6.68 in the 60m at that meet as well…ran a 6.71 at the Tyson Invitational…received the honor of a lifetime by running in the featured 60m dash against professionals…he and Walter Dix of Florida State were the only collegians invited to take part in the prestigious event…finished a respectable fifth place in the event won by Crawford.2005-06Outdoor: One of the most accomplished freshman track & field performers in Clemson history…earned All-America honors as a freshman with a fourth-place finish in the 100m dash at the NCAA Championships…had a time of 10.24…had top time in the semifinals in Sacramento at 10.13…set the Clemson, ACC, and East Region record with a time of 10.00 seconds in the 100m final in Greensboro…second Tiger ever to win the 100m dash at regionals, Airese Currie was the other…ran a 10.06 in the prelims…also helped the 4x100m relay team to a runner-up spot and berth in the NCAA Championships…ran third leg of that group that posted a time of 39.76…team went on to an 11th-place finish in 400m relay at nationals with a season-best 39.67…ACC Champion in the 100m, first freshman to earn that honor for Clemson…was Clemson’s fourth champion in that event in the last seven years…posted time of 10.35 into the wind and ran away from the field in the finals…named ACC Outdoor Freshman of the Year as a result of his performance…ran a 10.28 in the 100m at the Georgia Tech Invitational in the prelims, he pulled out of the final by choice…also ran a 10.34 at Georgia Tech in April, where he won that event…also won the 100m at the Penn Relays with a time of 10.42, becoming the first Tiger ever to win an individual event at the prestigious outdoor meet…helped 4x100m relay team to regional mark at the Yellow Jacket Invitational (40.28)…ran third leg with that team. Indoor: Recorded an NCAA provisional qualifying mark with a 6.69 in the 60m semifinals of the Virginia Tech Invitational…also ran a 6.72 in the prelims of that event, also an NCAA mark…earned All-ACC honors after finishing runner-up in the 60m in Blacksburg, VA…ran a 6.70 in the prelims at that meet…just missed an NCAA provisional mark with a 6.73 at the Clemson Opener in December…did not compete at the Clemson Invitational in January…finished fifth in the 60m at Notre Dame’s Meyo Invitational…won the 60m at the Virginia Tech Last Chance Qualifier in a time of 6.73.
