2007 Honors: Pan American Junior Championships Participant, 5000m. McLaughlin High School Highlights Two-time participant in the NACAC (North America, Central America, and Caribbean) Cross Country Championships…placed sixth in the 6K NACAC event in 2007 and was eighth in 2006…also competed at the 2007 IAAF World Cross Country Championships for Canada’s junior men’s program…finished 13th in the junior men’s 8K race at the Canadian Cross Country Championships in 2006 and was actually 11th in the event in 2005…competed in the 5000m at the Pan American Junior Championships in the summer of 2007, where he finished seventh overall and best among his Canadian teammates…placed fifth in the 5000m at the Canadian Junior Track Championships…three-time team MVP in track, four-time in cross country…named McLaughlin’s Outstanding Male Athlete as a senior in 2007…earned six medals in OFSAA (provincial) competition…came to Clemson with personal bests of 1:56.91 (800m), 3:55.13 (1500m), and 8:28.37 (3000m).
