Overview:  In his fourth year as a starter for the Tigers in 2024-25, Rose is a veteran of 28 tournaments and 82 rounds, more tournaments and rounds than any active Tiger entering 2024-25…his score has counted in 57-73 rounds in his career in the Clemson lineup….was unable to play in any tournaments after Linger Longer on March 17-19 due to a wrist injury…starter in each of the first eight team events for the 2023-24 Clemson team that finished raked 22nd in the nation…had an injury plagued 2023-24 season when he played in has 73.12 career stroke average with two Top 10s, 12 rounds in the 60s, 25 under-par rounds and 32 at par or better…a Ping All-District selection in 2022-23 as a sophomore when he was third on the team in stroke average at 72.03…had 19 birdies and an eagle at NCAA regional as a sophomore when he was Clemson’s best player with an eighth place finish at -11 (205)…the 20 birdies and eagles for one tournament is among the best on record at Clemson…that tied for his best career finish as a Tiger…hopes to have an injury free senior year…has  259 birdies entering his senior year, he also has five eagles…career best is a 65 at the Maul Jim on September 9, 2022….came to Clemson January of 2021 as a true freshman…just the third foreign born Clemson golfer in school history, he joins Richard Coughlan (Offaly Ireland) and  Michael Hoey (Belfast,  Northern Ireland)…first native of South Africa in the Clemson men’s golf program…attended St. John’s College in South Africa.

In 2023-24:Had a 73.95 stroke average, his effectiveness was limited by a wrist injury…finished his junior year with two rounds in the 60s, six rounds at par or better…had 59 birdies for the year…his score counted in 16 of 22 rounds over the eight tournaments…had a season best 68 at Watersound on Feb. 20…started the year with solid rounds of 72 and 70 at the Visit Tennessee…finished 37th at The Blessings, he had a final round 69 at the Golf Club of Georgia …his 69 was second best among Tiger golfers in that final round…posted back-to-back top 25 finishes at Briar’s Creek, where he had 25th place finish with rounds of 71-76, he then had season best 22nd place finish at Watersound…had third best score among Tigers in helping team to victory at Briar’s Creek…he was second best among Tigers at Watersound with his 215 score, one-under-par…had season best tying 10 birdies at Watersound…had second round 68 on the par 72 course that was his best round of the year…finished 34th at Pinehurst #2 at the Wake Forest Invitational, he had rounds of 71-75-74 at the site of the 2024 US Open…had a 230 score at Linnger Longer in is final tournament of the year March 17-19….was not able to play in any postseason tournament…

In 2022-23:  Named to the Ping All-District team by the Golf Coaches Association…third on the Clemson team in stroke average with a 72.03 average, but he was first in under-par rounds with 15…had 17 rounds at par or better, third on the team…had a pair of top 10 finishes…shot +16 for the year for his 30 rounds…had 22 rounds at 75 or better out of 30…had three of the top four 54-hole scores in 2022-23…had seven tournaments in which he had at least 10 birdies, including 19 in the NCAA Regional, tied for the most by a Clemson golfer all year…had 70.80 stroke average in opening rounds, best on the team…had 72.50 average in final rounds…had 3.22 stroke average on par three holes, 4.06 on par fours and 4.72 on par fives…second on the team in par five scoring behind Nielsen….finished year with three eagles and 115 birdies…had best score of the round nine times and was best player in four tournaments…his score counted 27 of 30 rounds…got his season off to a great start with a seven-under-par 203 at Maui Jim, he finished 17th…Clemson’s best player in the fall, he had three straight top 25 finishes to start the year…finished 14th at Folds of Honor and 22nd at The Blessings…finished 13th at the Ka’anapali Classic after three straight rounds in the 60s, he shot rounds of 69-68-69 for a 206 score…had eighth place finish at Linger Longer with a 215 score…finished the year strong with an eighth place at the NCAA Salem Regional thanks to a 205 score and -11, best among Tigers by five shots…he had rounds of 68-70-67.

Summer 2022:  Had successful summer in South Africa…in early June, finished tied for fourth at IGT Challenge Tour with seven-under-par score of 209…had rounds of 67-71-71…top finisher among amateurs…at Bushveld Tour Match Play Championship, was low golfer after 18-hole qualifier with a 68…won first round of match play (4&2) before losing in second round on third playoff hole…in mid July, at the Bushveld Tour Series 4, finished tied for second with 141 score after rounds of 73-68…at end of July at Bushveld Tour Series 6, finished first with six-under-par score of 138 after rounds of 67-71…made 15-foot birdie putt on first playoff hole to gain the victory…for the summer had 69.5 stroke play average with seven of the eight rounds at 71 or better.

In 2021-22: Fourth on the team in stroke average with 73.60 figure, he started eight tournaments and played in 10…played 30 rounds for the year and had 10 rounds at par or better, including seven under-par rounds…had two rounds in the 60s…finished the year with 85 birdies, fifth on the team, he also had three eagles, including  two at the Maui Jim…had 74.40 stroke average in first rounds, but improved to 73.00 in final rounds…had 4.77 stroke average on par five holes, 3.14 on par threes and 4.20 on par fours…second on the team in par three scoring behind Jacob Bridgeman…had 71.03 percentage in hitting the fairway, best on the team…hit greens at 59.2 percent and was 50.22 in scrambling percentage….his score counted in 14 of 21 team rounds…had best score of the round five times and led Clemson at the Golf Club of Georgia…started the year with 208 at Maui Jim, helping Clemson to second-place team finish…was Clemson’s best player at Golf Club of Georgia with 23rd place finish at 213…finished 12th at the Nexus Collegiate…had 28th place at Watersound, then 27th at Wake Forest Invitational where he helped Clemson to the team title with a 225 score…had another top 25 at the Calusa Cup…had his best score of the postseason in first round of the ACC Championship with a two-under-par 70…Clemson’s best golfer in the first round of the NCAA Regional at Ohio State with a one under par 71 on the Scarlet Course.

Prior to Clemson:   Had five top 10 finishes in world junior tournaments and seven top 20s over the last two years…only tournament in the United States was the AJGA Pinehurst Junior in Pinehurst, NC in August of 2019…finished strong third at that event with a 217 score after consistent rounds of 71-73-73…in Jan. of 2019, finished second at Nomads National Order of Merit with a 215 score, after rounds of 71-71-73, he was just three shots out of the lead…in Feb. of 2019 finished sixth at National Order of Merit International with a 214 score, a tournament that included a second-round 68…finished ninth at South Africa Boys U19 Match Play and ninth at the South Africa Boys U19 stroke play….shot 285 for that 72-hole event, including second-round 68…finished 13th at Nomads National Order of Merit in 2020 with 216 score and 7th at 2020 South African Amateur (140)….fine all-around athlete who also played soccer, hockey, track and swimming at St. John’s College in South Africa.
