CLEMSON, S.C. – Olympic Gold Medalist and former Clemson Tiger standout, Kailen Sheridan was officially named to the Canadian Women’s National Team’s 18-player Olympic Roster for the 2024 Paris Olympics as announced by Team Canada on Monday.
This will mark Sheridan’s second Olympic appearance as the keeper also represented Canada at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, which led her to the Olympic Gold as she and the rest of her teammates will look to secure back-to-back Olympic wins for Canada.
For the first time in her Olympic career, Sheridan has been tabbed the starting goalkeeper for Team Canada.
Canada is playing in Group A alongside France, Colombia, and New Zealand. The Olympics for women’s soccer will be held in seven cities, with Canada playing in two cities – Saint Etienne and Nice. Canada will kick off their Olympic campaign on July 25, prior to the opening ceremonies on July 26.
