Becca’s Rowing Journey
Becca joined Clemson Rowing in 2016 as a recruited athlete. In her first season with the Tigers, Becca rowed on the 1V8 and 2V8 earning first-place accolades at the Natoma Invitational and Cardinal Invite. As a sophomore, the Florida-native helped the 1V4 complete its best finish of the season at the Clemson Invite, clocking in at 7:17.64. Becca continued to excel into her junior campaign as part of several boats that hold current program records including best time by a boat overall (5:40.7), best time by a 1V8 (5:40.7) and first and second best times by a 2V8, which sit at 5:49.9 and 6:02.7, respectively. The senior also competed on the 2V8 which earned a bronze medal at the ACC Championship in 2019.
A three-time CRCA Scholar Athlete and four-time ACC Honor Roll honoree, Becca was competitive not only on the water, but in the classroom. Becca has also been named to the Clemson Dean’s list on six occasions and President’s list twice.
Prior to attending Clemson, Becca earned four second and third-place finishes at the Florida State Rowing Championships from 2013-16 and three second and third-place finishes at the Southeast Youth Regionals in 2013, 2014 and 2016. At the Southern Erg Sprints, Becca clocked the fastest 2K time in back-to-back years in 2015 and 2016. In 2015, Becca also competed on the U.S. Rowing High Performance Team. Additionally, Becca competed in her high school V8 for four years and was team captain in 2015 and 2016.
