CLEMSON, S.C. – Head Coach Boomer Saia and his staff announce the addition of Harper Stone to their Fall 2026 class. The addition of Harper marks the first signee of the 2026 signing class.
Prior to her commitment to Clemson, Stone made her mark on the professional tennis circuit. On the PTT circuit, She earned her first PTT 25k win in Boca Raton, Fla.
“I won my first PTT 25k. tournament in Boca Ranton, Fla. It was more about realizing that I could compete at that level that these players are playing. I was only 15 years old and that was an eye opening moment because I realized how high the level it takes to play in the ACC,” said Stone.
Stone was ranked No.6 in the class of 2026 and ranked No.1 in South Carolina Tennis Recruiting to come in as the highest-ranked recruit in program history.
Stone on why she chose Clemson
“I chose Clemson because it immediately felt like home. The coaches, the culture, and the team environment are everything I was looking for. I love how committed Clemson is to developing players on and off the court, and I knew it was the place where I could grow the most as both an athlete and a person.”
Stone on family legacy at Clemson
“My dad who played baseball at Clemson from 1998 to 2001 is ultra competitive and my most satisfying win so far in my career was when I finally could beat him. He never let me win so when I was finally able to actually beat him I realized I was improving every day and that’s what’s important to improve every day.”
Stone’s addition to the Clemson Tigers women’s tennis team marks a significant step forward as the team continues to build a competitive roster. Her professional experience and talent are expected to contribute significantly to the team in the upcoming seasons.
