During the stretch he also continued playing excellent in doubles play, beating Nebraska’s line 1 pair of Wiedenhorn and Maruyama.

At the conclusion of dual match play, Azuma recorded a career-high five ranked wins. In addition to victories over Nebraska and South Alabama, Azuma also downed North Carolina’s No. 47 Cernoch, Louisville’s No. 72 Natan Rodrigues and Virginia Tech’s No. 44 Fishback.

Azuma reached his highest ITA singles ranking on April 18, clocking in at No. 93.
