GREENSBORO, N.C. – Ruby Whitehorn was named to the ACC Newcomer Watch List on Wednesday by the league’s Blue Ribbon Panel, which is comprised of the ACC’s 15 head coaches and a select voting panel.
The Detroit, Mich., native, was named to the Newcomer Watch List along with Ashley Owusu (Sr., Virginia Tech), Saniya Rivers (So., NC State), Dyaisha Fair (Sr., Syracuse), Haley Cavinder (Sr., Miami) and fellow freshman Ta’Niya Latson (Florida State). The Newcomer Watch List is comprised of first-year ACC players (transfers and freshmen).
The Tigers were picked to finish 13th as a team and open the 2022-23 season on November 7 at 11:00 a.m. against Gardner-Webb inside Littlejohn Coliseum.
