CLEMSON, S.C. – Head Coach Stephen Frazier Wong and the Clemson rowing program are thrilled to announce the additions of three talented student-athletes in Evelyn Trost, Kaylee Board and Ellyn Mayette to its 2022 signing class.
“We are excited to welcome Evelyn, Kaylee and Ellyn to the Clemson Family,” says Head Coach Stephen Frazier Wong. “These new Tigers have the potential to help us in our goals next season and beyond. We are looking forward to August when they embark on their Clemson careers with their fellow freshmen.”
Trost hails from Nashville, Tenn. and plans to major in animal and veterinary sciences.
“I had such an amazing time on my visit and it felt like home more than any other college I’d been to, and when I visited colleges after Clemson, one of the reasons I didn’t like them was because they weren’t Clemson. I loved the small town of Clemson, and I also absolutely loved how students everywhere were wearing Clemson merch; the school pride is very evident, and I can’t wait to be a part of a community that is so enthusiastic.”
Board is from Arlington, Va. and plans to major in biomedical engineering.
“I chose Clemson because of the environment and culture. The combination of the strong engineering program, honors college, welcoming environment and strong team culture found at Clemson made it a clear choice where I wanted to be. Clemson provides the perfect student-life, academic and athletic balance for their students which was a strong deciding factor for me.”
Mayette hails from Kings Park, N.Y. and plans to major in business.
“I chose Clemson because it has everything that I am looking for in a college. I could not pass up the opportunity to be in an environment where I can be challenged academically as well as athletically every day. There are so many new opportunities to be had at Clemson, and I am so excited to meet new people and experience new things!”
