CLEMSON, S.C. – After his record-setting performance at the Clemson Invitational, Tarees Rhoden has been named the ACC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
On the first day of the Clemson Invitational, Rhoden set the new all-time record in the men’s 600 meter as he finished with a time of 1:16.10, marking a new personal best for the senior in that event.
On the final day of the meet, Rhoden ran the last leg of the men’s 4×400 relay as he helped his group cross the line first with a time of 3:07.59, marking the second-fastest time in the nation thus far this season.
Next up, Rhoden and the rest of the Tigers will compete in the Ted Nelson Invitational in College Station, Texas starting on January 26.
