Clemson University’s Rally Cats attended NDA’s Collegiate Camp this past weekend and made Clemson proud. The National Dance Alliance’s Collegiate Camp is designed to help teams prepare for their seasons and train for Game Days. The Rally Cats attended with seven other teams to build foundations and compete. Those teams include North Carolina State, University of South Carolina, James Madison University, UNC Charlotte, Elon University, Valdosta State University, and Carson Newman University.
The Rally Cats were awarded the Best Team All Around, a first for the Tigers. Along with this, the Rally Cats were awarded the Most Collegiate, 3rd place in Team Dance & Superior Evaluation Rating, and a Gold Bid to attend nationals. Only two Gold Bids are given out, and they are awarded based on all camp element evaluations.
Individually, the Rally Cats had seven teammates nominated for All-American, and four of them were selected for the All-America team. Those four are Ashley Jones, Sophia Butler, Mackenzie Crotwell, and Allison Cordts (pictured).
Members of the Rally Cats also compete in Top Gun competitions, which is where two representatives compete to win different categories. Ashley Jones was named the Top Gun Leaps & Jumps winner, along with Allison Cordts being named the Top Gun Hip Hop winner (pictured right). Go Tigers!
