Quattlebaum Paces Cross Country at Panorama Farms Invitational

EARLYSVILLE, Va. – The Clemson men’s and women’s cross country teams earned sixth and ninth-place finishes, respectively, Saturday morning at the at the Panorama Farms Invitational in Earlysville, Va. Junior James Quattlebaum placed third overall out of 90 competitors in the men’s 8,000-meter race. Quattlebaum crossed the finish line in 23:47.4, besting his time of 23:50.4, which he achieved last week at the Furman Invitational. The Greenville, S.C., native was also the first ACC competitor to complete Saturday’s race.

 

The women were paced by redshirt-junior Elizabeth Dawson, who placed 26th with a t time of 18:20.6 in the women’s 5,000-meter run.

 

The men finished with an overall score of 157 points, while the women registered 201 total points.

 

The Tigers will look to take advantage of a three-week break before heading to Louisville, Ky., the site of the 2017 NCAA Cross Country Championship, for the Pre Nationals meet.
