Malibu, CA- The Sixth-ranked Pepperdine men’s tennis team defeated Clemson 7-0 on Monday night at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center in Malibu, CA. The Waves improved to 11-4 while the Tigers slipped to 8-8.
Pepperdine swept all three doubles matches and then proceeded to win all six singles matches. Pepperidine’s Al Garland, ranked No. 3 nationally in singles, recorded a 6-1, 6-2 win at the top singles position over Clemson’s Marko Gojanovic. At number-one doubles, the pair of Sebastien Graeff and Stefan Suter defeated Clemson’s Sander Koning and Goran Sterijovski by a score of 8-4.
The Tigers will next take on Southern California on Tuesday night in Los Angeles.
