CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson track and field program will compete at the prestigious Texas Relays when it travels to Austin, Texas on Thursday. Beginning at 11 a.m. on Thursday, the meet will last all day Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The Tigers are off to a strong start to the season, having put up impressive performances at the Yellow Jacket Invitational and Knights Invite. Both the men’s and women’s teams enter the Texas Relays ranked No. 19 in the nation according to the USTFCCCA.

The Tigers boast some serious star power this season, as the ACC Men’s Indoor Track Performer of the Year and 60 meter hurdle National Champion Giano Roberts is set to compete for the first time this outdoor season. ACC Men’s Indoor Freshman of the Year Wanya McCoy will also toe the line in Austin looking to continue to make his presence felt on the national stage.

The Clemson women have shined in their two meets thus far. Marie Forbes set the school record in the discus throw and now owns Clemson’s best all-time mark in both the weight throw and the hammer throw. At the Knights Invite, Lashanna Graham moved herself onto the school’s top-10 list with her 400 meter hurdle time of 57.70.
