WEYMOUTH, MA – The 22nd-ranked Clemson women’s tennis team won a third consecutive ACC match with a 5-2 win over No. 53 Boston College in Weymouth, MA on Friday. Clemson (10-6, 3-1 ACC) improved to 7-0 all-time against the Eagles (7-8, 1-4 ACC), and downed a third straight ACC foe, with wins at No. 19 Georgia Tech and at home against Florida State. Clemson heads next to Maryland for a Sunday showdown at 11:00 am at the Cole Field House Courts. Clemson won the doubles point and won four singles matches in straight sets, including a 3-0 mark from positions four through six, who dropped just six combined games. Romy Kölzer rebounded from their loss in doubles to each cruise to 6-1, 6-1 wins in their respective matches at flights five and six. Kölzer is now 12-5 on the year and won her first ACC match, while Gumulya is now 3-1 in league play. No. 22 Clemson (10-6, 3-1 ACC) def.
