After pulling away for a 36-24 prime-time win at Florida State last week, Clemson will return to the road this week when the Tigers face the Syracuse Orange on Saturday, Nov. 7. Kickoff at JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, N.Y. is set for noon ET on ESPN2. Clemson is 11-2 in regular season road games since November 2023.

Clemson's only regular season road losses in that span came on a 55-yard last-second field goal at Georgia Tech in 2025 and this year's season opener at LSU. When expanded to include College Football Playoff first round action, Clemson is 10-3 on the road since the start of the 2024 season, and the Tigers' .769 road winning percentage in that span is tied with Ohio State for seventh-best in the country.

The Tigers' comfort on the road is reflected in their active five-game road winning streak inside of ACC play. This week, Clemson will attempt to win a sixth straight ACC road game for the first time since a school-record 11 straight ACC road wins across the 2017-20 seasons, a streak that started after a loss at Syracuse in 2017.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR THIS WEEK

  • Clemson attempting to improve to 11-3 all-time against Syracuse.
  • Head Coach Dabo Swinney (192-56) attempting to pull within two wins of Tom Osborne (195) for the most wins through the first 20 seasons of a head coaching career in FBS history. Notably, Swinney already ranks second in the category despite 2026 being his 19th season (and only his 18th full season).
  • Swinney (117) attempting to break a tie with Bobby Bowden for the conference record for career head coaching wins in ACC regular season play (117). Swinney already holds the conference record for overall wins as an ACC head coach.
  • Clemson entering the game having never lost to Syracuse in back-to-back games in series history.
  • Clemson attempting to move to 11-2 against Syracuse since the Orange’s move to the ACC.
  • Clemson attempting to improve to 6-1 all-time at Syracuse and win four straight games at JMA Wireless Dome for the first time in series history. With a minimum of five games, Clemson’s current .833 winning percentage at Syracuse is its third-best road record against an opponent all-time (5-0, 1.000 at Louisville and 13-1, .929 at The Citadel).
  • Clemson starting a stretch of three consecutive games in which it will have an opportunity to defeat a team to which it lost last season. After facing Syracuse, Clemson will face Georgia Tech and Duke.
  • Clemson attempting to improve to 27-14 in games against teams to which Clemson lost its most recent meeting in the Dabo Swinney era. - Clemson attempting to push its road record this season to 3-1.
