Clemson, S.C. —Julia Herzberg won her last two holes to defeat Marina Joyce Moreno and Keya Naik tied Matilde Santilli to highlight Clemson’s match vs. Ohio State on Tuesday afternoon.  The home team Buckeyes defeated the Tigers 4.5-1.5 at the Barbara Nicklaus Cup at Muirfield Village in Dublin, GA.
 
Clemson completed the tournament with a 1-2 record, a win over Michigan and a loss to Charlotte on Monday in addition to the loss to Ohio State on Tuesday.
 
Herzberg and Moreno had a very competitive match with neither player holding more than a one-hole lead the entire match.  Moreno had a 1-up lead heading to the 15th hole.  Herzberg then won that hole with a birdie to tie the match, won the 17th with a par to take a 1-up lead, then clinched the match with a birdie on the difficult 480-yard par four 18th hole.   
 
Naik had a 1-up lead after nine holes, then Santilli took a 1-up lead by winning the 14th.  She held that 1-up lead coming to the 18th tee, but Naik won the 18th with a birdie to tie the match.  
 
Sarah Uebelhart lost her match on Tuesday, but had two victories on Monday to finish with a team best 2-1 record for the tournament.  Herzberg and Naik both finished the tournament with records of 1-1-1.
