Clemson will attempt to rebound from a heartbreaking late defeat last week when the Tigers face the Florida State Seminoles on Saturday, Oct. 31. Kickoff at Doak S. Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Fla. is set for 7 p.m. ET on ACC Network. In Clemson's most recent visit to Tallahassee two years ago, Head Coach Dabo Swinney broke Bobby Bowden's conference record for the most overall wins as an ACC head coach in a 29-13 victory against Florida State.

This week, Swinney, who is 116-30 all-time in ACC regular season play, can tie Bowden's conference record (117) for the most regular season wins in ACC play. A win would also push Swinney past Nick Saban and Bob Stoops (191 each) for sole possession of the second-most wins through the first 20 seasons of an FBS head coaching career despite 2026 being only Swinney's 19th season.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR THIS WEEK

  • Clemson playing on the 130th anniversary of its first game in school history, a 14-6 win against Furman on Oct. 31, 1896.
  • Clemson and Florida State meeting after having represented the conference in the ACC Championship Game 15 times in 17 years since 2009, Dabo Swinney’s first full season as the Tigers’ head coach. Clemson has appeared in the championship game 10 times in those 17 years while Florida State has done so in five. The teams have combined for 13 of the last 15 ACC titles, with the lone exceptions coming in 2021 (Pitt) and 2025 (Duke).
  • Clemson attempting to earn its 18th all-time victory against Florida State and its eighth all-time victory in Tallahassee.
  • Clemson attempting to win a fifth consecutive game at Doak Campbell Stadium for the first time in series history.
