CLEMSON, S.C. – The No. 9 ranked Clemson men’s soccer continue it's four-match homestand at Historic Riggs Field on Friday, October 2nd, for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff with UNCW. The match will be broadcast on ACCNX. The 2021 National Championship team along with the 2001 ACC Championship team will be recognized at halftime in honor of alumni night.
Xander Sevian earned the first ACC Offensive Player of the Week honor for the Tigers after netting his first career goal and brace against then No. 3 Furman. The Tigers grabbed their second win of the season with a 2-0 win over ETSU before heading to Columbia, S.C. for the Palmetto Series matchup. Clemson dropped its first match 3-2 to South Carolina after a hard fought battle at Stone Stadium. The Tigers moved back to the win column with a dominant 4-1 win over UCF in Orlando propelled by Ransford Gyan's first career hat trick, the first hat trick for Clemson since Alex Meinhard in 2024.
Clemson opened ACC play with a 1-0 win over Syracuse after a second-half goal from sophomore Cooper Hineline to mark his fourth goal of the season. The Tigers dropped its ACC home opener 1-0 to Notre Dame on Friday night. A 5-1 win over North Florida on Tuesday night propelled Clemson to its fifth win of the season after Sevian netted his second career brace along with freshman Philip Rolke, seniors Remi Okunlola and Martin Bakken netting their first goals of the season.
On Saturday night in Chapel Hill the Tigers came home with a 2-1 win over North Carolina led by goals from Bakken and Malick Daouda. Duncan Wilson and Ransford Gyan each netted a pair of goals to earn a 4-0 win over Boston College and record the third ACC win of the season for the Tigers on Friday night. Tuesday night proved to be another offensive show for the Tigers, as juniors Floki Stephensen and Lukas Magnason netted their first goals of the season along with Wilson and Sevian to record a 4-1 win over Wofford.
Clemson and UNCW have met twice in program history, with Clemson leading the all-time series 1-0-1. The Tigers and the Seahawks last faced off in 2025 and Clemson took home the win 6-0.
