CLEMSON, S.C. - The Clemson Cross Country team will compete in its third meet of the season Friday, Oct. 2 at the Joe Piane Invitational in South Bend, Ind. The women’s 5K will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed shortly by the men’s 8K at 10:40 a.m.
Last Time Out
- In their competition two weeks ago, the Clemson women finished second (69 points) and the men finished fourth (169 points) at the Southern Showcase in Huntsville, Ala.
- Nancy Cherop led the way for the Tigers, finishing fourth overall in the women’s 5K with a time of 15:56.20.
- Cherop’s performance earned her the ACC Women’s Freshman of the Week award for the second time this season.
- Judy Kosgei finished fifth overall (15:57.60) and Silvia Jelelgo placed seventh (16:05.80) in the women’s division.
- Garrett Brown finished first amongst the Tigers in the men’s 8K with a time of 24:06.60, placing 12th overall.
