DR. LARRY BOWMAN
Team Orthopedist • 1988-22
• Team orthopedist for all Clemson sports, including 34 years (1988-22) with the Clemson football team.
• During his career with the Clemson football team, he was a big reason the Tigers won two national championships, appeared in six College Football Playoffs, won 10 ACC championships and had 10 top-10 seasons.
• His areas of expertise included arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle, ACL reconstruction and treatment of all sports-related injuries.
• After graduating from West Virginia, he received a master’s degree in bioengineering from Clemson, then he graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina.
• After his medical training, he served two years at Fort Lewis (Wash.) as a flight surgeon for the 9th Infantry Division.
• He served his residency at Penn State Medical Center, where he was mentored by Dr. Alex Kalenak, team orthopedic surgeon at Penn State.
• He returned to the Upstate in 1981, establishing Blue Ridge Orthopedics in 1982. It has since grown to include 20 orthopedic surgeons and primary care sports medicine physicians who serve the community.
• He was an adjunct professor in bioengineering at Clemson as well as orthopedic director and professor of MUSC AHEC Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship.
• He has served on several committees for the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy Association of North America and the NCAA Competitive Safeguards & Medical Aspect of Sports.
• He continues to serve on the Medical Aspect of Sports Committee for the South Carolina Medical Association, as president of the ACC Team Physician Society and as a founding board member for PlaySafe, a non-profit organization supplying 125 certified athletic trainers to over 100,000 student athletes for 78 middle and high schools in three states.
LAURA COTTRELL
Women’s Basketball • 1993-97
• First-Team All-ACC in 1996 and 1997.
• MVP of the 1996 ACC Tournament, Clemson’s first ACC basketball title.
• MVP of the 1996-97 Boise State Tournament.
• Three-year starter who played on three Tiger teams that finished in the top 25 of each poll.
• Played on three Clemson NCAA Tournament teams, including two teams that reached the second round.
• Became the 15th Tiger to reach 1,000 career points, as she accomplished this feat against Texas on Feb. 1, 1997.
• Fifth player to reach the 1,000 point, 800-rebound club in Clemson history.
• Fifth all-time in career rebounds (808) by a Tiger.
• 15th all-time in career points (1,108) by a Tiger.
• Fifth all-time in career three-point field goals (51) by a Tiger.
• Has gone on to a successful career as a high school coach.
ANDY D’ALESSIO
Baseball • 2004-07
• Hit 59 career home runs, tied for first on the school career list with Jeff Baker.
• Fourth in school history in career RBIs (217).
• 2006 NCBWA First-Team All-American.
• 2006 College Baseball Foundation First-Team All-American.
• 2006 ABCA Second-Team All-American.
• First-Team All-ACC in 2006.
• Key member of four NCAA Tournament teams, three NCAA Super Regional teams and Clemson’s 2006 College World Series team.
• Team co-captain in 2007.
• Hit 23 home runs with 85 RBIs as a junior in 2006, when he hit .312 with a .648 slugging percentage. His 85 RBIs are fourth most in a season in Clemson history.
• Semifinallist for the Dick Howser Award in 2006.
• 2006 First-Team All-ACC.
• Started 239 career games as a Tiger.
• Had a career .309 batting average.
DALTON FREEMAN
Football • 2009-12
• First-team All-American as a senior center in 2012 as chosen by AFCA.
• Second-team All-American in 2012 by AP and Walter Camp Association.
• Finalist for the Rimington Award (top center) as a junior and senior.
• Second-team Academic All-American, one of just a handful of Clemson football players to make All-American on the field and in the classroom in the same year.
• Four-time All-ACC Academic selection.
• Permanent co-captain of the 2012 team.
• First-Team All-ACC as a junior and senior.
• Winner of Team Leadership Award in 2012.
• NFF Hampshire Honor Society member in 2012.

MATT HENDRIX
Men’s Golf • 2000-04
• Finalist for the Ben Hogan Award in 2004.
• Played for the United States in the 2003 Walker Cup, as he had a 2-0-1 record.
• Third-team All-American as a junior starter on Clemson’s 2003 national championship team.
• Earned second-team All-America honors as a senior in 2004.
• First-Team All-ACC in 2003 and 2004.
• Team MVP as a senior in 2004, when he had a career-best 71.0 stroke average and six top-10 finishes.
• Finished seventh at the 2003 ACC Championship and third at 2004 ACC Championship. Clemson won the ACC Tournament each year.
• As a senior, he won the Puerto Rico Classic and the Augusta State Invitational.
• Had a career stroke average of 72.2, had 12 top-10 finishes, had 47 under-par rounds and had 58 rounds at par or better. He also posted 26 rounds in the 60s.
• Named to ACC Academic Honor Roll four straight years.
• Ranked in top 10 in the nation by Sagarin in 2003 (No. 9) and 2004 (No. 10).
TEVIN HESTER
Men’s Track • 2013-16
• Has the third-most All-America certificates (9) in Clemson history, six indoor and three outdoor.
• Eighth in Clemson history in ACC championships with seven.
• Four-time All-American in the 60m indoors. He finished seventh as a freshman in 2013 (6.7), seventh in 2014 (6.64), seventh in 2015 (6.63) and sixth in 2016 (6.64).
• Earned All-America honors indoors twice in the 200m. He finished sixth in 2015 (20.86) and fifth in the 200m in 2016 (21.02).
• Outdoors, he earned All-America honors in the 100m twice and the 200m once. He finished sixth in the 200m at the 2016 NCAAs, where he was 10th in the 100m.
• 2015 ACC Outdoor Track Athlete-of-the-Year.
• 2015 ACC Indoor Track Athlete-of-the-Year. He won the 200m at the 2015 ACC Indoor Championships.
• 2016 ACC Indoor Track Athlete-of-the-Year.
• 2016 ACC Outdoor Track Athlete-of-the-Year.
• In 2016, he won the ACC championship in the 60m (6.61) and the 200m (20.90).
• Outdoors, he won the ACC championship in 2015 in the 100m (9.87) and the 200m (20.18).

GRADY JARRETT
Football • 2011-14
• Third-team All-American as a senior in 2014.
• Big reason Clemson led the nation in 13 different statistical categories in 2014, including total defense for just the second time in school history.
• He had 73 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and 12 quarterback pressures in 13 games in 2014.
• First-Team All-ACC in 2014, while he was Honorable Mention All-ACC in 2012 and 2013.
• Finished his Clemson career with 207 tackles, 29.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, 37 quarterback pressures and four recovered fumbles in 48 games (37 starts).
• Clemson won ACC championship his freshman year and finished in the top 20 of the AP poll all four years. He played in bowl wins over LSU (2012), Ohio State (2013) and Oklahoma (2014).
• Fifth-round NFL draft pick of the Atlanta Falcons in 2015 and has played 11 seasons in the NFL (166 games).
• Two-time Pro Bowl selection with the Falcons. He is currently with the Chicago Bears.
• He had three sacks of Tom Brady in the Super Bowl at the end of the 2016 season. That is among the top-five individual sack totals in Super Bowl history.
K.J. McDANIEL
Men’s Basketball • 2011-14
• First Team All-ACC in 2013-14.
• ACC Defensive Player-of-the-Year in 2013-14, the only Clemson player to win that award.
• Only player in the nation to lead his team in scoring, rebounding, three-point goals, blocked shots and steals in 2013-14.
• Led the Tigers to a 23-win season his final year and a trip to the semifinals of the NIT.
• His 614 points in 2013-14 are sixth most in Clemson history.
• Led the ACC in blocked shots his final two seasons.
• Averaged 17.1 points, 7.1 rebounds and blocked 100 shots is final season.
• His blocked-shot total was third highest in Clemson history.
• One of the most exciting players in the last 20 years due to his ability to make highlight-reel dunks.
• Scored 1,035 points in three years, while his 178 career blocked shots are ninth most in Clemson history.
• Played three years at Clemson before turning professional after his junior year.
• Was the second pick of the second round (No. 32 overall) in the 2014 NBA draft by the 76ers.
• Played three years and 148 games in the NBA before playing overseas.
• Has played a decade overseas.

• NSCAA honorable mention All-American in 1978.
• Three-time First-Team All-ACC selection (1976-78).

• Led the ACC in goals in 1976 (20) and 1978 (18).
• The 1978 team finished third in the NCAA Tournament.
• Two-time MVP of the Clemson Invitational (1976,78).
• Fifth on the Clemson career list for goals (59), while he is 11th in assists (27).
• Fifth in school history in career points (145).
• 10th in school history in career game-winning goals (11).
• Tied for sixth in career hat tricks (6).
• He had 13 assists in 1977, 10th most in school history.
• Member of four ACC championship teams and four teams that finished in the top four in the nation.
• Co-holder of the Clemson record for goals in a game against an ACC team with five against Duke in 1975.
• He holds the Tiger record for goals in an NCAA Tournament game with four against James Madison in 1976.
BRIANA ROLLINS
Women’s Track • 2010-13
• Three-time NCAA champion, joining Tina Krebs as Clemson women’s track’s only three-time NCAA champion.
• Won the 2011 NCAA championship indoor 60m hurdles with a time of 7.96.
• Won the 2013 NCAA championship indoor 60m hurdles with a time of 7.79.
• Won the 2013 NCAA championship outdoor 100m hurdles with a time of 12.39.
• Eight-time All-American, five times indoors and three times outdoors, the second-most All-America certificates in Clemson history.
• Eight-time ACC champion and 11-time All-ACC selection.
• Won the Bowerman Award in 2013, which is the Heisman Trophy of track presented by the United States Track & Field Coaches Association.
• ACC Indoor Track Athlete-of-the-Year in 2012 and 2013, Clemson’s only two-time winner.
• ACC Outdoor Track MVP in 2013.
