CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson junior Ransford Gyan has been named the ACC Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced today by the league office. The award is Gyan’s second of the season and fourth ACC Offensive Player of the Week honor of his Clemson career and the third Offensive Player of the Week award for the Tigers this season.
Friday night Gyan netted his second career hat trick of his career in a commanding 4-0 win over Boston College at Historic Riggs Field. Gyan scored the first goal of the match to put the Tigers ahead 1-0 heading into halftime. Gyan sealed the brace at the 82' mark to to cap off the 4-0 win for Clemson. This season, the Sunyani, Ghana, native has totaled seven goals on 19 shots through nine matches so far this season.
Clemson is back at Historic Riggs Field on Tuesday night to face off with in-state opponent, Wofford. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and live stats will be available at ClemsonTigers.com.
