Freshman Nancy Cherop was awarded the Women’s ACC Freshman of the Week title for the second time in September, the first occurring just two weeks ago.
Cherop ran an impressive 15:56.20 in the Women’s 5K at the Southern Showcase on Friday, Sept. 18, placing her in fourth amongst a very competitive pool. She shaved off 24.40 seconds from her meet-record setting performance at the USC Upstate Eye Opener two weeks prior on Sept. 4.
The freshman will be back in action at the Joe Piane Invitational in South Bend, Ind. on Oct. 2 where she will continue her already extremely successful season running the 5K.
